Esie Mensah Upcoming Toronto Director in Theatre

As a Director, Esie Mensah transforms movement and text into a language for the audience to receive.

Through her eye as a choreographer and knowledge gained as a movement director, Esie is able to utilize her roots in dance to support and enhance her vision as a director.

Esie’s immense knowledge across theater, dance and film allow her to transform the work into a physical language that propels her as a storyteller and story keeper.

She recently made her directorial debut with Marcia Johnson’s play Serving Elizabeth at Theatre Aquarius which critics said was a “triumph” and “a wonderfully clear production.”
